Closing the Circle

Mentorships, Internships, Community Outreach & Scholarships

Giving back is a very important part of my life. I have been on the receiving end of much good throughout my life and I feel that it is very important to close the circle by giving back whenever possible. I fully acknowledge these gifts that have been given to me from teachers, mentors, family and friends. I would not have this business and the ability to support my family this way without the continued support of my community.

I am very passionate about teaching. I love working with people and being part of their creative learning process.  I hope that in sharing this knowledge and passion for the creating beautiful things by hand helps other’s to achieve their goals, believe in themselves and go on to share their gifts with others. Mentorships

2 Per year

Guidance and support for students ages 10 and up that demonstrate a desire to learn more. I reserve one spot for a youth and one for an adult each year. I offer insight about my process creating, the way I run my business, my ethical practices, and guidance about navigating the community of handmade jewelry here in the Twin Cities. Mentee’s will have access to the tools and resources they need to explore creative expression in the world of making art. These spots are coveted and priority is given to people in the BIPOC and LGBTQIA community.

Community Outreach

Empowerment & Skill-Building — By Request

Connecting to community to encourage disadvantaged youth and adults to feel empowered and held to be able to create in a safe space. Bring your group to the studio for a creative session to inspire, heal, and connect. Contact me for more information or to organize a creative experience for your group.
